MJS Packaging has announced that its work with partner Essel Propack America has resulted in two prestigious Tube of the Year awards.

The suppliers’ package won the Best Pharmaceutical Tube Award for Equate Beauty Acne Foaming Wash, a premium Walmart brand. Fifty entries in five market categories were submitted by member companies to the Tube Council.

Working with Essel Propack America, MJS Packaging helped create the silver foil decoration along with the flexographic high-end printing with hot foil to achieve a special look. This tube features a plastic barrier laminate that was custom constructed to maintain the stability and strength of Benzoyl Peroxide in the product’s formulation.

A 2-inch dispensing cap completed the look. The tube was designed to regains its shape after squeezing, as well as stand out on the crowded retailer’s shelves.

MJS Packaging worked again with Essel Propack America on Rexall Lubricating Jelly, which earned a runner-up award in the pharmaceutical category.

This tube features an intricate flower design, which had to match its carton. A direct-print, wet-on-wet process with 6-color offset printing, was used on the extruded plastic tube, which was made from mono polyethylene material.
