Merit Beauty Names Philippe Pinatel as CEO

Philippe Pinatel joins Merit Beauty with 25 years’ experience.

Minimalist makeup brand, Merit Beauty has named Philippe Pinatel as CEO. Former CEO and founder Katherine Power will remain as a chairperson to the brand. 
 
Pinatel holds 25 years’ experience in the beauty industry, most recently served as Global President to MAC Cosmetics from 2020 to 2024. 
 
Founded in 2021, Merit Beauty has made more than $100 million in sales last year alone. 
 
The brand offers 25 skincare products all packed in a minimalist designs and colors. All of Merit Beauty’s packaging is either recyclable, reusable or compostable. 
 
Merit Beauty is offered at Sephora as part of its Clean Beauty category, where more than 80% of the brands products have been best sellers.
