Here are a few offering insights on current and future trends in beauty and packaging:

‘Beauty Tech’ in Skincare

Alain Dijkstra, CEO of Nuon Medical Technologies, will discuss how smart packaging—like the company’s “active applicators”—can enhance a product’s performance. This conference is titled, “From Concept to Consumer: How Cosmetics Companies Can Stay Ahead of the Trend Curve.”

Learn about how these innovations will shape the future of beauty, and the ways in which these technologies can help brands connect with consumers. It takes place on 10:30 am on May 7th.

Key Packaging Trends Forecast for 2026/27

Dewi Pinatih, Head of Product Design Trends at Stylus, will discuss the key shifts shaping packaging design and development. Pinatih says that in 2026 and 2027, we will see
more sustainable packaging formats and engaging interactive designs.

Are refillable systems only “aspirational”? Pinatih will talk about this, and more, at the LPNY conference on May 7th at 3 pm.

Sustainable Packaging Will Shift to a Circular Approach

The session, “Shifting from Climate-Focused Packaging Strategies to a Nature & Circularity-Centric Approach” highlights how priorities for sustainability are evolving. Experts say brands need to shift from climate-focused strategies to holistic approaches.

The industry is facing supply chain shortages, plastic pollution is on the rise, and a brand’s packaging has to be in compliance with numerous upcoming regulations. Speakers will discuss the new approaches to sustainable packaging development that address these issues.

Attendees will learn the significant connection between nature on packaging, which goes beyond climate goals—and why action is so critical.

The speakers are:

  • Giulia Maiorino, Packaging Sustainability Analyst of Regulatory & Compliance and Retailer Engagement Expert at at the ESTEE LAUDER COMPANIES
  • Emily Wynne, Sr. Consultant and Co-Lead of U.S. Foot Printing at QUANTIS
