Merit Beauty launched its first-ever tinted sunscreen—and it’s in a luxe tube, with a pump. “The Uniform” Tinted Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is a makeup-sunscreen hybrid that comes in 15 sheer shades. To celebrate the launch, Merit is partnering with Brooks Brothers.

“Brooks Brothers is the iconic designer of a classic uniform essential, the button-up—and created their own ‘uniform’,” the press release states, cleverly linking the product name to the promotional event.

Merit Beauty collaborated with Brooks Brothers to create a limited-edition button-up shirt, exclusively available for purchase at the three-day pop-up event in Manhattan. The event is at 151 Elizabeth Street, in Nolita at Egg Shop, from May 30th through June 1st. Brooks Brothers is celebrating 125 years of the button-up.

Merit Beauty Chose a Stylish Tube for its Tinted Sunscreen

A stylish tube houses “The Uniform.” Merit’s tinted sunscreen is in a sleek silver airless pump, which makes it easy to dispense the lightweight, buildable formula. The product contains fine powders to help blur pores, and lightweight plant-based emollients for a soft finish.

The Uniform” uses “pigment dispersion technology” to deliver blendable, even coverage. This proprietary formulation technology enhances how the actives are dispersed throughout Merit’s tinted sunscreen formula. The actives are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

Better dispersion means the formula base can contain less actives, while still delivering protection from UVA and UVB rays. Using less titanium dioxide, which is a white pigment, eliminates the white cast on the skin.

“The Uniform” is Merit’s second complexion product since the brand launched four years ago.
