GodMode, a new creator-powered, color-forward beauty brand, officially launched, combining gaming, culture, and self-expression.

Co-founded by actress Chloë Grace-Moretz, singer Rina Sawayama, and Closer group, GodMode introduces a bold, immersive universe where beauty enthusiasts and creatives are invited to explore, express, and evolve through makeup.

At its core, GodMode is a youth culture movement formed in response to the growing influence of female gamers. The brand was named after the gaming cheat code that grants players invincibility – a metaphor for the brand’s vision of beauty without limits.

The brand was also developed with insights from the GodMode Alliance. This is a community of creators including female anime illustrators, AI artists, gamers, makeup artists, fashion designers, and musicians.

The debut Genesis Collection is the first ‘biome’ of the GodMode universe and features sculptural packaging designs that feel like they came right out of a video game.

Designed to champion expressive, emergent artistry, the collection includes high-performance products that invite users to experiment with techniques and reimagine what beauty can be.

The Genesis Collection will launch in two drops.

Drop One

  • Genesis Glow: a radiant highlighter encased in a futuristic metallic egg
  • Mirage Lip Gloss: in three versatile shades
  • Level Up Lip Liners: in four tones

Drop Two

  • Gemini Eye Pencils: in four pigment-rich shades
  • Gemini Eye Color Quad: a trio of coordinate palettes with complementary hues

With each drop, the brand will unlock new ‘biomes’ or conceptual worlds and character-driven storylines that expand the universe and deepen community engagement.

The first drop introduces avatars Chroma and Rani – the cosmic alter egos of co-founders Moretz and Sawayama.

As GodMode launches, the brand will roll out a series of culture-forward activations and collaborations that span physical and virtual worlds.

All products are cruelty-free and meet Sephora Clean standards.
