Luxe Pack Monaco will return to the Grimaldi Forum from September 30 to October 2, featuring 450 exhibitors. Packaging manufacturers from all over the world will present innovations at the international trade fair that showcases luxury packaging.

Luxe Pack Monaco aims to be known as “an essential sourcing experience for brands looking to disrupt the market,” organizers say. The newly expanded Grimaldi Forum will feature a tent on the esplanade this year, and several new spaces on the show floor.

“We are undergoing a major transformation to support industry shifts,” says Fabienne Germond, Director of Luxe Pack Monaco. “These changes reflect our commitment to remain the leading international event while embodying a bold, forward-looking vision,” she explains. “We are evolving to better meet the current and future challenges of the industry, just as Luxe Pack has done since its creation in 1987—to anticipate the future of packaging.”

How many visitors are expected?

We have implemented several initiatives to support brands’ attendance, including foreign delegations and new partnerships. We are clearly aiming for an increase in visitors this year, and pre-registration is promising,” says Germond.

The Next Era of Packaging Begins at ‘The Portal’

Luxe Pack Monaco will feature a new space called The Portal this year, sponsored by Nuon. The new area aims to be an “epicenter of packaging innovation” to showcase technologies driving change. “This area will include a startup corner designed to inspire and provide forward-thinking ideas—further strengthening the innovation pillar of the show,” says Germond.

Exhibitors in The Portal focus on these four areas:

  • Eco-Innovation: Showcasing the latest innovations in sustainability, including bio-materials, recycling, and circular economy initiatives.
  • Smart Packaging: Featuring the newest technologies in IoT, connectivity, interactivity, traceability, blockchain, cybersecurity, and intelligent devices.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Meet experts in generative AI and data intelligence.
  • Design & Experience: Learn new ways to use UX/UI design, augmented and virtual reality, digital twins, 3D visualization, 3D printing, and more.

A select group of exhibitors in The Portal will present during short pitch sessions. These companies will present innovative solutions, breakthrough technologies, and sustainable concepts to “reinvent the packaging of tomorrow.”

New Areas Will Encourage Networking

Luxe Pack Monaco is highlighting a dedicated space to exchange ideas, called The Col’lab. It’s designed as a meeting place for associations and consortiums to invite exhibitors and visitors to engage in cross-sector collaboration—in an effort to drive change.

“We’re seeing a surge in coalitions and consortiums in recent years—a sign that brands feel the need to collaborate on joint decision-making,” says Germond. “One of our goals is to bring these coalitions together so they can share their insights, studies, and connect with other groups. The idea is to provide a global framework that will enlighten and guide all brands in the sector,” she explains.

Visitors can stop by The Col’lab to participate in forward-thinking discussions on the industry’s most pressing topics. Or, schedule a meeting in one of the three lounge areas. The new outdoor Riviera Lounge, sponsored by Nuon, will serve complimentary ice cream, waffles, and drinks.

Conferences, Workshops, & Awards

Luxe Pack Monaco will feature 35 conferences and workshops this year. Speakers will include executives from Sol de Janeiro, Parfums Christian Dior, Groupe Rocher, Lalique, and many more.

One highlight is the conference, “Future Materials in Focus: Balancing Eco-Responsibility and Luxury Standards” on September 29th. The speakers are La Prairie’s Andreas Kopplin and In-Signes’ Gerald Martin. They will discuss the latest material innovations, and how luxury brands can adapt to shifting consumer expectations while continuing to deliver prestige packaging.

Another not-to-miss conference is “When Beauty Tech Merges with Beauty Packaging,” alos on September 29th. Nuon’s Alain Dijkstra will speak about the company’s ability to embed technologies like light therapy, microcurrents, and microneedling into packaging—and what this can mean for the future of skincare.

The Luxe Pack in Green Awards have highlighted sustainable packaging innovations for the past 14 years. This year, the show aims to become “the global barometer of eco-responsible packaging for luxury brands,” organizers say. The Luxe Pack in Green judging panel includes packaging executives from Louis Vuitton, L’Occitane, Christian Dior Parfums, Chanel, and more. Stay tuned for more details about the awards presentation.
