Shiseido has appointed Alberto Noe as the new CEO of the Americas following another consecutive quarter of sales declines in Q3.

Currently acting as the Interim CEO of the Americas Region, Noe will assume the full CEO position for the region on January 1, 2026. Noe will also continue in his role as CEO of the EMEA Region.

Noe has worked at Shiseido EMEA for over a decade, beginning as CEO and president, Italy. Before that, he was general manager, Lancôme Italy and worked at Chanel and LVMH.

Along with Noe’s appointment, Shiseido has announced other personnel changes as well.

Shiseido promoted Makoto Toyoda to chief information technology officer; Hidefumi Araki was named global brand and product innovation officer; and Naomi Kawanishi was appointed global brand president of Clé de Peau.

Additionally, Angelica Munson, chief digital officer; Tomoko Ikeda, chief brand and product innovation officer; and So George Sugitomo, chief creative officer, are all leaving the company, effective January 1.

These personnel changes coincide with plans to cut roughly 200 jobs in Japan as part of its early retirement program, “Next Career Support Plan.”

The changes come as Shiseido’s net sales in Q3 were 4% lower than last year. This was primarily due to sales declines in China, travel retail, and Drunk Elephant.
