Pratt Institute will host the 2025 Pratt Design Symposium, Designed for Living, a conversation exploring how the design of personal spaces influences lifestyle, identity, and self-expression.

Bringing together leaders in furniture design, environmental psychology, and interior architecture, the event looks at the intersection of aesthetics, function, and the “personal brand” of the home.

Designed for Living examines how the environments we create—from urban lofts to country retreats—express who we are and who we aspire to be.

The event will take place at The Asia Society’s Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium in New York, NY, on November 18, 2025, from 6 – 7:30 pm.

Marc Rosen—cosmetics packaging designer, author, and Pratt Trustee Emeritus, and Beauty Packaging Board Member—will guide the discussion as part of Pratt’s long-running annual design series.

Panelists include:

  • Sally Augustin, Principal, Design with Science
  • Dakota Jackson, Furniture Designer, Dakota Jackson, Inc.
  • Sarah Paul, Interior Design Manager, Hariri Pontarini Architects

The program is supported by the Marc Rosen Education Fund, with additional support from Juliana Terian and the Terian Foundation.
