There’s a new product launched by a beauty brand carving out a new niche, and fulfilling an unmet demand— Spooge Face Shots. Spooge is a “high-altitude sunscreen brand,” and its new Face Shots aims to be a go-to for skiers and snowboarders. Officially called, “Face Shots High-Altitude All-Screen,” the new mineral suncare product is a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen. It’s in a 3.4 oz tube.

Spooge Face Shots are more than just sunscreen, the brand says. Formulated to stand up to snow, sweat, and wind, the sunscreen will shield skin from the harshest mountain elements. The product also hydrates as well as skincare.

Dr. Whitney Hovenic, dermatologist and Spooge co-founder, says, “Most sunscreens aren’t made for altitude, wind, and cold weather. This one is. It’s the mountain SPF that keeps your skin protected without compromising feel or finish. Plus, it’s a reminder that SPF isn’t just for summer—it’s essential year-round.”

Spooge Face Shots contain 22% zinc oxide. It also has ceramides, edelweiss extract, raspberry seed oil, and vitamin E. The clean formula doesn’t contain parabens, phthalates, or harsh chemicals. It’s water-resistant for 80 minutes, reef-safe, vegan, and cruelty-free.

Mini Tubes Are Perfect for On the Slopes

In addition to the full-size tube, Spooge Face Shots come in a convenient new pocket-size trio set, the Face Shots To-Go Kit. It includes three travel size mini tubes, .5 oz each.

The mini tubes help encourage reapplication. “I’m proud to help create something that makes it easier for all of us to enjoy the outdoors safely,” says Olympic skier Travis Ganong.

Ganong, a 37-year-old U.S. Ski Team alum and two-time Olympian, was diagnosed with melanoma on his cheek. He partnered with Spooge to help launch Face Shots—and help raise awareness in the snow sports community to encourage athletes to start using protection earlier. “Launching Face Shots with Spooge is so meaningful to me—it’s about protecting the community I love,” he states.

A Winter-Themed Sunscreen Package Design

Spooge seems to have found its niche, filling a void in the super-saturated beauty market as a “winter sunscreen” brand. And Spooge Face Shots fully embrace this mission with a winter-themed package design.

Spooge Face Shots are in winter-white tubes, decorated with red and blue graphics. The product’s name on the tube swaps the “o” in “shots” for a snowflake.
