Nuon Medical has reached an important sustainability milestone through the B-Corp certification. This certification was achieved by its affiliated group structure, which includes Kaiyan Medical.

For Nuon, this milestone reinforces its commitment to advancing responsible, high-performance innovation — particularly when compostable and bio-based packaging is becoming a defining direction for the beauty industry.

While the accreditation is formally granted at the group level, it reflects the operational standards, engineering rigor, and ESG practices that define Nuon’s approach to technology-integrated beauty packaging.

Nuon’s ESG contribution centers on material science & product as well as longevity & design efficiency rather than marketing-driven “green” claims.

The company’s innovation strategy integrates:

  • Durable, High-Stability Materials
  • Bio-based Innovation
  • Material Efficiency

Alain Dijkstra, Founder & CEO of Nuon Medical, said,

“For us, sustainability has always been tied to the engineering discipline. We believe high-performance beauty tools can—and should—meet higher standards of responsibility. The principles behind our B-Corp alignment guide how we select materials, design systems, and build long-term partnerships with brands seeking performance without compromise.”

Nuon uses Silicone and medical-grade polymers for:

  • long functional lifespans, compatibility with global safety standards,
  • chemical stability with active skincare formulas,
  • lower replacement frequency for reduced total material throughput

These choices align with ESG principles by prioritizing longevity over disposability.

Also, Nuon’s PLA microneedle technology demonstrates how bio-based materials can contribute to performance and safety without relying on claims of composability.

Nuon’s applicator architecture separates durable device cores from replaceable interfaces, allowing brands to:

  • reduce material turnover,
  • minimize tooling waste,
  • extend product lifespan without compromising hygiene or efficacy.

Modularity is a foundational ESG decision, reducing long-term environmental impact across manufacturing and consumer use.

Nuon continues to collaborate with global skincare and beauty companies to integrate tech-enabled, ESG-aligned packaging systems, advancing a future where clinical performance and responsible design coexist.
