MAC Cosmetics has a new global brand ambassador, Chappell Roan. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter from the Midwest will star in MAC campaigns worldwide beginning in 2026.

Known for her drag-inspired look and advocacy, MAC Cosmetics seems like an ideal brand partner for Roan. “Partnering with MAC feels full circle,” says Chappell. “This brand has always made space for people like me; since day one they’ve embraced art, queerness, drag and self-expression.”

Creating Chappell Roan’s MAC Campaign Look

In MAC’s new campaign, shot by Inez & Vinoodh, Roan sports her signature erased brow look and white foundation. Andrew Dahling, Makeup Artist, describes Roan’s campaign

The campaign look is “a modern take on androgyny that feels powerful, graphic, and unmistakably her,” says makeup artist Andrew Dahling. “I drew from film-noir monochrome and 1930s military references and then layered in her signature high glamour,” he says.

In the photo above, Roan is holding, and wearing, MAC Silky Matte Lipstick in Cool Teddy. Roan also wears Lip Pencil in Stone; Glow Play Cushiony Blush in So Natural; Eye Shadow in Carbon, Scene, Cozy Grey and Greystone; Eye Kohl Eyeliner in Feline; Stack Mascara, and more.

Dahling used MAC’s Full Coverage Foundation in White to create a stark white base and erased brows that he says “created a clean canvas for sculpted dimension.” The eyes are “built with cool greys and deep blacks to evoke a moody, cinematic intensity,” he says.

The look is finished with a chunky frosted-tip glitter lash. Dahling says the sparkly lashes add a playful contrast “capturing the theatrical spirit Chappell brings to every transformation.”
