L’Oreal & Amorepacific Reveal Innovations at CES 2026

L’Oreal and Amorepacific announce new hair and skincare innovations.

CES 2026 is underway, and L’Oreal Groupe and Amorepacific have introduced breakthrough technologies that are recognized as Innovation Award Honorees.

This event is the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics trade show, taking place January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

L’Oreal Groupe Innovations

L’Oreal debuted two breakthrough technologies that bring the power of light to haircare and skincare: Light Straight + Multi-styler and LED Face Mask.

Light Straight + Multi-styler

Developed by L’Oréal Research & Innovation, Light Straight + Multi-styler uses patented infrared light technology to help provide exceptional styling results at lower temperatures, to better protect the health of the hair. 

The Light Straight + Multi-styler’s glass plates straighten hair while never exceeding 320°F—a significant reduction compared to most traditional straighteners. 

The handheld device uses near-infrared light to reshape internal hydrogen bonds—the molecular structures that determine hair’s shape and texture—to help preserve the hair, keeping the natural hair cuticle smoother, shinier, and stronger while achieving desired styling results.

According to instrumental tests conducted by L’Oréal, Light Straight + Multi-styler works 3 times faster, and leaves hair 2 times smoother than other hair stylers.

With the introduction of Light Straight + Multi-styler, L’Oréal now offers an entire hairstyling routine—also featuring AirLight Pro, unveiled at CES 2024—that incorporates infrared light technology to better protect hair.

LED Face Mask

Further demonstrating its commitment to technological advancement and longevity science in beauty at CES 2026, L’Oréal Groupe has also announced the LED Face Mask.

This ultra-thin, flexible silicone mask—currently in prototype form—delivers light directly to the face. L’Oréal’s LED Face Mask was developed with iSmart, a global leader in LED device innovation. 

L’Oréal believes its testing will show that the LED Face Mask combats visible signs of aging like fine lines, sagging, and uneven tone through targeted red light and near-infrared light. 

The key to the mask’s effectiveness is its advanced, transparent support, which integrates a skin-safe microcircuit to precisely control the emission of two selected wavelengths of light—red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm). 

The lightweight, flexible, and non-invasive design will integrate seamlessly into daily skincare routines, with each 10-minute session automatically timed.

Amorepacific’s Innovative Technologies

At CES 2026, Amorepacific unveiled its Skinsight, recognized as a CES Innovation Award Honoree in the Beauty Tech category, alongside its “AI skin analysis and care solution” developed in collaboration with Samsung Electronics and beauty devices from its brand makeON.

Skinsight

Skinsight is a next-generation “electronic skin” platform co-developed with a research group from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). 

The platform analyzes real-time skin-aging signals to predict aging and delivers personalized solutions tailored to individual needs. 

A sensor patch applied to the skin simultaneously measures multiple aging factors influenced by the exposome and lifestyle, with AI technology delivering customized care recommendations. The technology can also track skin changes across diverse environments.

“AI Beauty Mirror”

Using camera-based optical diagnostics, the technology precisely assesses pore condition, redness, pigmentation, and wrinkles, then recommends personalized skincare solutions based on a dataset of over 450,000 cases. 

Results from the analysis are incorporated into skincare solutions provided by makeON’s ONFACE LED Mask, equipped with 3,770 micro red LEDs, and Skin Light Therapy 3S, a personalized skincare device for daily-use, offering immediate improvements in skin condition. 

The solution also provides a range of beauty experiences, including product recommendations and skincare guidance.
