Nuon Medical Opens Paris Office and Showroom

Nuon Medical headlines this month’s Beauty Buzz column—the company has opened a new European showroom.

Nuon Medical, which holds over 550 patents and recently achieved B-Corp status, has opened its new headquarters in Paris—located at 25 rue du 4 Septembre, 75002.

The showroom presents numerous creative pathways designed to help brands envision, explore, and build a new generation of packaging solutions.

Interested in a tech-enhancing beauty solution? Gregory Pays and Adrien Canu, recently joined by Camille Schu, lead Nuon Medical’s business development can pave the way. The team’s approach combines technical, scientific, and aesthetic consultancy.

Nuon Medical excels in supporting brands and packaging partners from the earliest concept phase and oversee project development in coordination with the group’s R&D teams.

Veronique Gabai Joins Bath & Body Works

Veronique Gabai joins BBW as Creative Product and Brand Adviser.

This month’s Beauty Buzz also features Veronique Gabai, who has joined Bath & Body Works as Creative Product and Brand Adviser. Gabai will partner closely with the company’s teams to bring new perspectives and drive growth across product, brand, and marketplace.

Gabai is a beauty and fashion veteran with over 25 years of industry experience. She served as CEO of Vera Wang and global brand president at the Estée Lauder Companies. Gabai also founded her own namesake brand, inspired by the South of France, which is where she grew up. Gabai is on the board of directors of Interparfums, Life Time Brands, and Parfums de Marly.

NJPEC Honors Top 2025 Products

Celebrating the NJPEC’s 45th annual Package of the Year Awards.

The industry is also buzzing about the New Jersey Packaging Executives Club (NJPEC) and 45th annual Package of the Year dinner, held on December 4th, 2025. Beauty and packaging executives came together at the Madison in Morristown, NJ, to honor the top products in skincare, cosmetics, fragrance, food & beverage, and adaptive packaging.

The winners were chosen from over 100 submissions. Here’s a few highlights:

Metal Dynamics ‘Macallan Time’ Space Whiskey package earned top honors. Seacliff Beauty’s James Charles Rainbow Palette won the Student’s Choice Award, voted on by Rutgers package engineering students. See the full winners’ list at NJPEC. 

The organization awarded $85,000 to students from Rutgers University, Clemson University, Michigan State University, Virginia Tech, and the Rochester Institute of Technology—bringing the club’s total scholarship awards to nearly $900,000. 

Liana Cook Named 78th President of CIBS

Liana Cook, Vice President at ABA Packaging, is CIBS’ new President.

Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) is celebrating its 78th president, Liana Cook. Cook is the youngest person to hold the title, and the organizations’ first Asian president, reflecting the CIBS community’s continued growth and diversity.

Cook follows in the footsteps of her father, Charles Marchese, who served as CIBS’ President in 2010, “making this moment a true continuation of a family story deeply intertwined in the beauty and cosmetic packaging world.” Marchese founded ABA Packaging in 1984 alongside his father, Leo Marchese. Cook serves as ABA’s Vice President.

As CIBS President, Cook plans to prioritize membership. She says her vision for the organization is one of collaboration, fresh energy, and building an even stronger sense of community. “I am honored, grateful, and so excited for the year ahead,” she said.
