Future Beauty Brands Appoints Rob Keen CEO

He succeeds James Stammer, who has served in the role since January 2021.

Future Beauty Brands (FBB), a global beauty platform and portfolio company of Yellow Wood Partners, announced that executive Rob Keen has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective January 12, 2026. He succeeds James Stammer, who has served in the role since January 2021.   

Dana Schmaltz, Partner at Yellow Wood Partners, said,

“Rob has built a well-deserved reputation building and scaling consumer brands around the world, and we are thrilled to add that expertise to Future Beauty and drive the continued growth of the company. With a refocused suite of leading brands and Rob’s guidance, Future Beauty’s outlook is as bright as ever, and we are looking forward to working with him to continue building on our recent momentum.”

Keen brings over 20 years of experience in leadership roles within the consumer space.  Most recently, he served as CEO of Applied Biological Laboratories, a biotech startup focused on providing natural medicines and supplements. 

Keen commented,

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Future Beauty’s iconic brands into this next phase of growth. With leading brands in cosmetic and bath accessories, sunless tanning and beauty, we are well-positioned to leverage a unique portfolio and dedicated customer base to enhance scale, expand offerings, and increase market penetration in existing and new geographies. I am excited to work with the team at Future Beauty and to partner closely with Tad, Dana, and the rest of the Yellow Wood team to execute on these significant market opportunities.”

Before that, he spent eight years as CEO of North America for the plant-based personal care brand Weleda, where he led the company to record growth.

Earlier in his career, Keen led global brand development for Pure Leaf and Brisk iced teas and TRESemmé hair care at Unilever, as well as worked at Alberto Culver, where he served as the Director of Marketing for TRESemmé, Nexxus, and Alberto VO5.
