Packaging News: Coverpla Creates Maison Ipekyol’s Signature Fragrances

Maison Ipekyol chose Coverpla bottles for its new fragrance line—and it was an immediate success as soon as it hit the market.

Coverpla created Maison Ipekyol’s signature fragrance line. Maison Ipekyol is a Turkish brand. Coverpla‘s expansive mix-and-match offer, turnkey service, and agility when it comes to dealing with market fluctuations was instrumental for the launch.

Ipekyol says it created its fragrance line with the same ethos as its clothing line—to be both beautiful and sustainable. For its Eaux de Parfum, Maison Ipekyol chose three bottle designs in 100ml formats and matching caps, made from wood and Surlyn.

Designed by Coverpla (see Coverpla Buyer’s Guide), the Firenze bottle has a rounded base reminiscent of a champagne flute. Coverpla’s Azero cap, a wooden model fitted with a PP insert, completes the look for standout fragrance packaging.

The cap’s oversized shape attracts attention, and Coverpla’s team fitted it directly onto the shoulders of the bottle. The brand chose a black version of the cap, with a label and ribbon to match.

Coverpla’s Gala bottle, shown here with a crimped neck, houses Maison Ipeyol’s second fragrance. The dark-colored vintage wooden cap completes the fragrance line’s minimal aesthetic. Screen-printing adorns the cap.

The third fragrance in the collection is in Coverpla’s Kubos bottle. The bottle features a squat shape, combined with Coverpla’s Tendance cap. The black overmolded cap is Surlyn. The cap features the brand’s logo hot-stamped in shiny gold.

The New Line Was an Immediate Success

As soon as it hit the market, Maison Ipekyol’s new fragrance collection was an immediate success. This put pressure on the supply chain, Coverpla says, but its team rose to the challenge of renewing orders.

“We are thrilled with Coverpla, for collaborating on our new fragrance collection launch,” said Gamze Sahin, Cosmetic Product Development and Sourcing Manager, Ipekyol Group. “Despite being a new product category for us, the process unfurled with exceptional precision and expertise, with an approach that was always focused on solutions, from beginning to end.”

Sahin thanked the team at Coverpla “for fully reflecting our commitment to aesthetics and quality.”
