This March, amika is kicking off its “amika means friend Tour”—a celebration of community, creativity, and connection.

Starting March 22 in Tampa, amika will pop up across a bunch of major cities—visiting salons, suites, stores, and cosmetology schools—bringing education, pro tips, and plenty of good vibes to VIPs (Very Important Pros) and new friends alike.

Chelsea Riggs, amika CEO commented,

“At amika, ‘friend’ means showing up with care, accountability, and action and that spirit is at the heart of our ‘amika means friend’ tour. Through this program, we’re creating space for connection, education, and opportunity, led by an incredible lineup of headlining stylists who inspire and uplift the next generation. A key part of this work is our Friend to Hair Scholarship, which provides full-ride cosmetology school scholarships to help remove financial barriers and make a career in beauty more accessible. Together, we’re building a more inclusive, supportive future for the community that built us.”

Spring Stops include:

  • March 22 to March 26: Tampa, FL
  • March 29 to April 2: Dallas, TX
  • April 12 to April 16: Houston, TX
  • April 19 to April 23: San Francisco, CA
  • May 10 to May 14: Chicago, IL

Pop-up’s will feature live demos and pro educational sessions, meet and greets with stylists Eric Vaughn, and exclusive promos and limited-edition merch.

These are ticketed events to which the proceeds go towards the amika Friend to Hair Scholarship, providing full-ride cosmetology school scholarships to aspiring hairstylists.
