Beauty Society, a sustainable skincare and cosmetics brand, announces the launch of National Refill Day, an annual observance to be celebrated every April 1st.

The initiative aims to raise awareness around the environmental benefits of refillable beauty products and to inspire consumers and the industry to reduce packaging waste.

Aligning with the first day of Earth Month, National Refill Day challenges the beauty and personal care industry to adopt refill systems, reduce waste, and make sustainability the standard.

Jeannie Lorin, Founder and CEO of Beauty Society, said,

“It makes me happy to see refills starting to become popular, but it’s not enough. It’s about challenging our industry to do better. Every refill matters. Every tree counts.”

Through Beauty Society’s flagship sustainability program, Treasure Not Trash, the company has significantly cut down on single-use waste.

Beauty Society also plants one tree for every refill sold in partnership with Eden People + Planet, a global reforestation initiative that helps restore ecosystems and creates fair-wage jobs in local communities.

By choosing refillable beauty products, Beauty Society highlights how individuals help reduce landfill waste, lower carbon emissions, and promote more conscious consumer habits

Beauty Society encourages individuals and brands to:

  • Switch to refillable or recyclable products.
  • Share their sustainable habits using #NationalRefillDay.
  • Learn more about the impact of single-use packaging.
  • Support companies committed to long-term sustainability.
