Beyoncé’s Cécred haircare has introduced a new line—the Protection Collection. In striking lapis blue bottles, Cécred’s Protection Collection includes five products to care for the hair, scalp, hair, and extensions. The line rolls out to Ulta Beauty on September 21st.
The packaging includes four bottles and one jar. Scalp Refreshing Spray is a highlight, and in sync with the ‘scalp care’ trend. The bottle features a custom ultra-elongated nozzle, designed to target hard-to-reach areas on the scalp.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, who, at 35 awards, holds the record for winning the most Grammy Awards of all time, says she founded Cécred to address her own hair issues.
The Cécred’s Protection Collection’s products showcase first-to-market formulas utilizing a new hair and scalp health technology, PhytoFerment. Phytoferment helps soothe, nourish, and clear impurities from the hair and scalp, helping to support overall scalp health.
Inspired by the healing, cleansing, and protective properties of herbalism, this balanced ferment is a concentrated blend of bioactive CO2 extracts that are hydrated and fermented with purple willow bark.
Beyoncé said:
“I’ve worn my hair in many different ways throughout my career, including protective styles like wigs, weaves, extensions, and braids. I couldn’t find anything that would make the take down process easier or less damaging. Because the truth is, the takedown matters just as much as the style itself.”
Cécred’s Protection Collection’s packaging maintains the brand’s its iconic, monolithic design aesthetic. The products are housed in sculpted vessels in the color Lapis, inspired by Lapis Lazuli.
The collection also features a new signature fragrance, Nocturne Spice, a blend of pink pepper, vanilla, cardamom spice, tonka bean, and oud.
Cécred’s Protection Collection features breakthrough formulas that bring science and R&D to caring for protective styles and extensions—a void in the hair care market. Until now, consumers have relied on cocktailing and home-mixed hair remedies, without validated, high-performance solutions, the brand states.
Many protective styles aren’t truly protective—they can cause long-term damage, breakage, shedding and poor scalp health if not cared for and taken down properly.
Beyoncé added,
“We focused on developing a line that could reduce the friction, pulling and breakage that always happens. Actually, the Detangling Spray was the first product we formulated, and to this day, I will never take my braids down without it. I saturate my hair with this, and the braids slide right out. My hair has never been healthier.”
