Chanel Issues Job Cuts in the U.S.

This decision aims to help adapt to current economic challenges.

In an effort to ‘protect the business,’ Chanel announced that it is cutting 70 U.S. jobs. This cut represents roughly 2.5% of its total U.S. workforce.

According to Chanel’s 2023 annual report, the company had roughly 36,500 employees that year. The Americas represented about 20% of its total sales in 2023, with 28% from Europe, and 52% from Asia Pacific.

Current job cuts aim to reduce headcount and help the company adapt to current economic challenges. This also comes after Chanel made changes to limit spending.
