Drunk Elephant has issued a voluntary recall of Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser, Protini Polypeptide Cream, and Lala Retro Whipped Cream sold in the US.
 
Sample packets of Lala Retro Whipped Cream found inside the carton of O-Bloos Rosi Drops are also included in the recall. However, the Rosi Drops are not impacted by the recall, according to Drunk Elephant.
 
The recall was issued due to “an isolated ingredient mix-up between preservatives and surfactants,” according to the brand’s FAQ page about the recall.
 
For example, the ingredient Microkill COS, a patented combination of three different preservatives, was found in Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. However, it is not featured on the product’s ingredient list. 
 
Drunk Elephant has advised customers to stop using affected products.
 
The affected products were sold at several outlets including Ulta, Drunkelephant.com, Sephora, sampling at Sephora and Ulta, Sephora at Kohl’s, Amazon, and 3Sixty Duty-Free.
 
In an Instagram post, the company said,
 
“The quality of our products and your satisfaction are everything to us, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
 
The brand is offering a full refund and replacement of any affected products.
