Liquid Death, the beverage brand that made it cool to just drink water in a bar, now wants to help consumers hydrate their skin. In collaboration with ESW Beauty, the brand has launched a limited-edition face mask collection.

The new ESW Beauty x Liquid Death’s sheet masks are made from a compostable material. They are sold individually and as a set of three. With names and scents inspired by Liquid Death’s flavors, they are:

  • Mountain Water Hydrating Face Mask
  • Severed Lime Revitalizing Face Mask
  • Mango Chainsaw Blemish Control Face Mask

The new ESW Beauty x Liquid Death sheet masks contain hyaluronic acid, for its hydrating properties. Plus, various high-performing actives to target specific skin concerns.

How did the partnership come about?

“Last year, I felt a strong pull to collaborate with a beverage brand that truly aligned with our values,” explains Elina Sofia Wang, Founder, ESW Beauty. She continues, “While attending a trade show in search of the right partner, I came across their booth—and something immediately clicked. I introduced our brand, shared our sheet masks, and pitched the idea on the spot, which sparked an instant connection.”

Wang says collaborating with Liquid Death felt like a natural fit. “Their bold, innovative, and sustainable approach has consistently impressed me,” she says.

The beverage brand is no stronger to the beauty world. Last year, Liquid Death partnered with e.l.f. to launch Corpse Paint. And last month, Dr. Squatch relaunched Liquid Death Soap.

Liquid Death’s Packaging Attracts Attention

Liquid Death’s cool graphics—and name—is what made the beverage brand famous. Its cleverly designed packaging helped propel the canned water brand to reach $263 million in global sales in 2024, NBC reported.

Liquid Death’s brand collaborations and partnerships continually fuel its viral marketing strategy. The brand’s collabs have a history of being successful. The Corpse Paint collection, in collaboration with e.l.f. (linked above), sold out in less than 45 minutes—and the ad campaign hit 12 billion impressions in two weeks, Fast Company reported.

The foil packette packaging for ESW Beauty x Liquid Death’s sheet masks resemble the shape of a can of Liquid Death water. Fun names include “Severed Lime” and “Mango Chainsaw.”

Where are the masks sold? ESW Beauty x Liquid Death’s sheet masks are available on ESW Beauty’s site, while supplies last.
