Fundamental Brands Acquires Amala Beauty

Amala Beauty, a luxury skincare brand known for its clinically proven, certified natural, biotic skincare, has been acquired by Fundamental Brands Inc. (FB), a health, beauty, personal care, and wellness holding company. 

This strategic move aligns with Amala’s vision for accelerated growth and innovation. By leveraging FB’s capital, strategic expertise, and support, Amala is positioned to scale while preserving its unique brand identity and commitment to clinically proven, biotics-based skincare.

The acquisition will fuel product and formulation innovation, enabling Amala to further develop proprietary biotic complexes and bioferments that balance the skin’s microbiome and provide the standout clinical results that set the brand apart.

Jack Takacs, CEO of FB said,

“We’ll be endeavoring to build on the Amala business, combining our contacts, experience, and expertise. I look forward to welcoming the Amala team to the Fundamental Brands family and their efforts supporting Sam and the entire FB team in delivering exceptional products to our clientele.”

Amala’s marketing team will integrate with FB’s executive team, led by CEO Jack Takacs and President Sam Genovese. 

Sam Genovese, who will also serve as CEO of FB’s newly formed Amala Brands subsidiary, brings over 25 years of experience in the development, manufacturing, distribution, and sale of personal care products to spearhead expansion.

Amala has built strong partnerships with some of the world’s most renowned five-star spas and is recognized as a leading provider of premium spa treatments and products in the United States and worldwide. 

The acquisition will also drive expansion across multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer, retail partnerships, and enhanced spa collaborations.
