Garnier, an official partner of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, will launch its “Run for the Forest” initiative at the race on April 12, in support of WWF France’s forest preservation efforts.

The activation marks the launch of Garnier’s “Collective for the Planet,” a new global program that turns everyday participation into environmental action.

The program responds to what Garnier identifies as an “action gap.” In its recent “A Natural Win-Win” report, based on a study of 1,500 people across eight countries, 70% of people say they feel a responsibility to care for and protect nature, but only 14% volunteer regularly.

At the Paris Marathon, Garnier aims to help close that gap by linking participation directly to support for forests, combining on-the-ground activation, fundraising, and accessible education into a single pathway for action.

This first activation forms part of a broader international rollout, with NGO partnerships also underway with the National Park Foundation in the U.S. and Plastics for Change in India.

Rémi Delrue, General Manager of Garnier France, said,

“The Paris Marathon brings together more than 65,000 runners and 150,000 spectators, giving us a powerful platform to turn intent into action. By linking participation to direct support for forests, and making that connection visible and immediate, we’re helping people contribute in a tangible way. This is what Garnier’s commitment to more sustainable beauty is about — helping people take practical action for the environment.”

Through its partnership with WWF France, Garnier will contribute €50,000 linked to the marathon, supporting forest preservation and restoration efforts. This forms part of a broader ambition to help protect and restore 50,000 hectares of French forests, while mobilizing up to 70,000 people around the cause.

Also, from April 9 to 11 at Porte de Versailles, Garnier will host a public pop-up space showcasing its sustainability commitments, its “Collective for the Planet” program, and its partnership with WWF France.

The space will include interactive displays and educational content on forest protection developed with WWF.
