Goop Beauty by Gwyneth Paltrow, which recently launched its first-ever mascara, has introduced Hydra-Barrier Gel Gloss. The five-in-one gloss is like skincare-meets-makeup with a 5-in-1 formula that acts as a balm, gloss, plumper, mask, and oil. 
 
The science-backed, clean formula is made with a powerful combination of peptides, hyaluronic acid, vegan lanolin, and rose hip oil to volumize, moisturize, smooth, and soften. It protects and restores lips’ barrier function, while providing long-lasting color, hydration, and shine. 

The gloss is packaged in a clear bottle that showcases the product color. It has a cushiony doe foot wand applicator that allows for one-swipe application. Goop’s “G” logo is printed in black on top of the white cap, while “Goop Beauty” adorns the side in white.   

The Clean Hydrating Formula 

Goop Beauty says its ingredients are clean—and the brand states, “Clean, to us, means that we vet our ingredients with strict attention to quality, while prioritizing ingredients that are ethically sourced and cruelty-free wherever possible.”

Hydra-Barrier Gel Gloss contains Goop’s “Maxi-Lip,” as its hero ingredient. The collagen-stimulating fatty-acid-linked peptide helps firm, smooth, moisturize, and define, while plumping for visibly fuller lips.

It also contains hyaluronic acid microspheres to help form a moisturizing barrier to treat dryness, smoothness, and increase hydration. A vegan lanolin alternative seals lips in an occlusive barrier for intense moisture, softness, and shine. Organic RoseHip Oil relieves dry lips with a cushiony, silky texture, while Vitamin E helps support the lip barrier, moisturize, and soften. 
 
It comes in six shades designed to enhance natural lip tones: 

• Glaze: palest clear pink
• Blossom: sheer petal pink
• Lilac: sheer amethyst
• Tulip: sheer hot pink
• Fig: sheer aubergine
• Spice: sheer cocoa 

The gloss has a subtle grrapefruit scent and is sweetened with monk fruit.
