It’s never too late to get into the beauty business. The Rolling Stones, which have been making music for six decades, have launched their first-ever fine fragrance.

The legendary British rock band that includes lead singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, who are both over 80 years old—partnered with Nirvana Brands and Bravado to launch RS No.9 Eau de Parfum.

RS No. 9 is a unisex fragrance in a limited-edition bottle, and the packaging features the band’s iconic logo—Mick Jagger’s mouth and extended tongue. There are only 999 numbered bottles available.

The fragrance ships on January 31, 2025. It is available exclusively at the RS No 9 Carnaby store in London, which is the Rolling Stone’s flagship home for its merchandise, including branded apparel. It is also available to ship to US fans from the store’s website.

Inspired by London’s Soho in 1962

RS No.9 Eau de Parfum is inspired by the Rolling Stones’ first gig at the Marquee Club in London’s Soho neighborhood in 1962.

The glass bottle features a graffiti design with song lyrics, inspired by the glass floor in the RS No 9 Carnaby Street store. The cap features the famous tongue and lips logo created by John Pasche in 1970. The textured carton looks luxe.

Ken Rushton, COO of Nirvana Brands, said,

“The Rolling Stones are ubiquitous in popular culture, and their influence on personal style is all around us…Bottling the essence of The Rolling Stones in a unique and bold fine fragrance has been an incredible journey—and there is a whole lot more in the pipeline to come.”

After several years in development, RS No.9 was crafted by Catherine Selig, a perfumer renowned for her ability to create complex and evocative scents.

Selig said,

“This was a dream project. I wanted to capture The Rolling Stones’ timelessness – their inimitable style, rebellious spirit, and the feeling of freedom their music still inspires.”

The press release describes the juice as “rebellion meets refinement.” Here’s what it smells like:
  • Top Notes: The fragrance opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Bourbon.
  • Mid Notes: Leather, Labdanum, and Oak are at the heart of the scent.
  • Dry Down: The base notes are Oud, Musk, and Patchouli.
Selig explains the chosen notes, saying, “Every note represents a different facet of the Stones’ legacy, from their soulful melodies to their on-stage unpredictability. This fragrance is a journey through their world, filled with richness, texture, and bold contrasts.”

Fans can pre-order the fragrance online at RS No 9.
