Saie launched the Planet Beautiful 2026, a major Earth Month initiative to tackle plastic waste in the beauty industry.

Saie has partnered with Sephora U.S. and 11 other beauty brands to fund the recovery of over 1 million pounds of plastic waste across India, Indonesia, Colombia, and Kenya, in partnership with rePurpose Global.

Planet Beautiful, powered by Saie, is a sustainability campaign created by Saie in partnership with Sephora US that brings together beauty brands to collectively fund global plastic recovery efforts and address the industry’s growing waste problem.

Saie Founder and CEO, Laney Crowell, said,

“Planet Beautiful proves that when we come together, we can create real, lasting change—and that meaningful progress happens through collective action for both people and the planet.”

The campaign builds on the success of Planet Beautiful 2025, which collected over one million pounds of plastic waste globally.

What’s new for Planet Beautiful 2026:

  • A plastic recovery hub in Lamu, Kenya (Bahari Safi), supporting local infrastructure and mangrove restoration
  • A consumer donation activation from April 22–24, where $1 from every product sold from participating brands will fund plastic recovery efforts ($1 = 2.5lbs of recovered plastic waste)
  • Participating brands include Alpyn, Amika, Biossance, Caliray, Caudalie, Crown Affair, Experiment, ILIA, Nécessaire, Saie, Skinfix, and Violette_FR

Together, Planet Beautiful 2026 will remove the equivalent of 23 million lipstick tubes and 34 million mascaras from the environment.
