Tesco Recalls Two Types of Facial Cleansing Wipes

Wipes could contain bacteria linked to respiratory diseases, urinary tract infections, eye infections, and sepsis.

UK Supermarket Tesco has recalled various Tesco Kind & Pure Facial Cleansing Wipes. 

Recalls were initiated across Scotland. The recall was due to unsatisfactory microbiological testing and detecting the presence of a bacterium, Pluralibacter gergoviae, making products potentially unsafe for use.

The Tesco Kind & Pure 25 Facial Cleansing Wipes 163g was recalled.

Affected batch codes include: 5128723, 5129723, 5130723, 5123723, 5144723, 5145723, 5146723, 5163723, 5164723, 5168723, 5169723, 5188723, 5176715, 5177715. 

Tesco Kind & Pure Radiant Facial Cleansing Wipes Vitamin C 25 Pack 159g was also included in the recall.

Affected batch codes include: 5187723, 5186723, 5188723, 5154715, 5155715, 5156715.

No other Tesco product was affected in the recall. 

The items were removed from shelves as a precautionary measure.
