The TRESemmé Claw Clip, a Collab with LUAR, Elevates Hair Care

In collab with LUAR and inspired by the iconic Ana bag—the TRESemmé claw clip comes in this chic hair care gift set.

The TRESemmé claw clip is an elevated take on an iconic hair accessory. The team at TRESemmé collaborated with Raul Lopez, LUAR’s Creative Director, to turn the fashion brand’s iconic “it-bag,” the Ana bag, into a claw clip.

The TRESemmé x LUAR Ana Bag Claw Clip launches on Dec. 4th, at 10 am EST. It will be sold in a chic gift box with its A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray.

Yoni Klein, Head of Marketing, TRESemmé North America at Unilever, says, “At the heart of this collaboration with LUAR is our shared vision of making luxury looks more accessible. Together, we’re making the most trending runway fashion and hairstyles accessible.”

Design Details: The TRESemmé Claw Clip

The clip’s shape mirrors the Ana Bag’s signature handle and design. It is “TRESemmé black,” the hair care brand says. The clip features subtle gold accents that compliment inspired TRESemmé’s A-List packaging. The A-List Dry Texturing Spray is in a shiny gold bottle with a metallized finish.

Consumers purchasing a claw clip will receive the Texturizing Spray as a complimentary gift. The spray will help users complete a “runway-to-real life” look, TRESemmé states. The spray delivers a voluminous, tousled look with lasting hold.

Collaborating with LUAR’s Creative Director

Raul Lopez, LUAR’s Creative Director collaborated with the team at TRESemmé to design the claw clip. I designed the Ana Bag with her as my inspiration,” states Lopez, talking about his Dominican mom who loved using TRESemmé products. “This collaboration feels like such a full circle moment for me,” shared Lopez.

Lopez adds, “It speaks to what happens when you constantly push to redefine the industry’s definition of ‘luxury.’ I believe that word is for everyone, from my Brooklynite mother to your favorite celebrity. I love that this collaboration makes sure of it.”

The Ana Bag debuted in 2021 and has become an “it-girl” bag. The design earned Lopez recognition on TIME Magazine’s 2022 “Next 100” List and a “Brand to Watch” by Lyst in 2023.
