Nuon Medical Unveils Tech-Integrated Packaging Ecosystem at CES 2026

Beauty tech innovator Nuon Medical, with a portfolio of over 800 patents, introduced a tech-integrated packaging ecosystem at CES 2026. Addressing the global demand for smart skincare, Nuon focuses on the industry’s most critical frontier: the point of skin contact. By merging smart applicator technology with clinical engineering, Nuon Medical is redefining the delivery of medical-grade skincare for the modern consumer.

Nuon’s capabilities enable brands to embed sensing, treatment, and connectivity directly into packaging. The company helps brands transform skincare applicators—taking them from a passive tool to an intelligent delivery engine.

Nuon’s capabilities help beauty brands to amplify a product formulation’s efficacy. Its high-tech packaging and advanced applicator solutions can deliver data-driven diagnostics to the end user.

Nuon’s team met with brands at CES, showcasing its innovations. Among its capabilities, there are five technology sectors where hardware optimizes product performance, Nuon says. These are: phototherapy, skin diagnostics, UV diagnostics, NFC & connected packaging, and an at-home spa area.

“The future of efficacy lies in the synergy between the formulation and the delivery method,” said Alain Dijkstra, Nuon’s Founder and CEO. “At CES 2026, we are showing R&D teams how our ‘device-in-packaging’ architecture acts as a treatment engine to unlock the full biological potential of their products.”

Nuon Medical Holds Over 800 Patents

With a portfolio of over 800 patents, Nuon Medical emphasizes sustainable beauty technology, focusing on durability and modularity. This supports global brands in delivering ethical, high-performance solutions without sacrificing scalability.

Nuon Medical’s introduction at CES 2026 focused on the point of skin contact.

Albert Paper Products Partners with Soterra Capital

Soterra Capital, a private investment firm focused on building “enduring lower-middle-market businesses,” has announced its partnership with Albert Paper Products, Inc.

Albert Paper Products is a specialty paperboard and corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Irvington, NJ. The company was founded in 1944 and is operated for four generations by the Kenah family. Albert Paper has long been defined by hands-on leadership, craftsmanship, reliability, and deep customer relationships. Its work spans across the cosmetics, personal care, food, medical, industrial, and ecommerce packaging markets.

While the Kenah family has managed the company since its founding, ownership has resided with an outside private party since the 1980s. This transaction—supported and structured by Soterra Capital—enables the Kenah family to buy back ownership of the business and continue family stewardship of the enterprise.

Albert Paper Looks to the Future

Going forward, Albert Paper will continue to operate under its existing name. The company’s headquarters will remain in Irvington, now strengthened by a long-term operating partnership with Soterra.

Mark Kenah, President of Albert Paper Products, is a fourth-generation descendant of the company’s founder. He said, “Albert Paper has been part of my family for more than 80 years. Our identity has always been rooted in service, quality, and long-term relationships. Partnering with Soterra will allow us to continue that legacy. We are investing in our next chapter of growth for our customers and our team. We are excited to build on what previous generations created and extend our family’s heritage well into the future.”

Jeremy Carter, Managing Partner of Soterra Capital, said, “We have been impressed by the Kenah family’s management. The company’s culture is strong, and its business model is resilient. The packaging industry serves the entire economy and continues to demonstrate attractive fundamentals. We look forward to supporting Mark and the Albert Paper team as they expand capabilities. Together we will deepen customer relationships, and carry forward the company’s remarkable legacy.”

Albert Paper Products will continue to operate with its existing leadership team. Soterra will provide strategic, operational, and growth support.
