Ideal Côte d’Azur weather and captivating scenery set a spectacular stage for Luxe Pack Monaco 2025 (LPM), which took place September 29-October 1 in the newly enlarged Grimaldi Forum. Built on reclaimed land adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the towering mountainous landscape on the other, the setting added to the enthusiastic mood that pervaded the entry, the expansive show floor designed to accommodate more beauty packaging suppliers, and the remarkably situated terraces.
While tariffs were a pervasive topic, in general, at Luxe Pack Monaco 2025, concern over them does not seem to be stopping a full-speed-ahead approach. Both brands and beauty packaging suppliers are moving forward with excitement and confidence in developing “green” solutions.
It was inspirational to see what advancements have been made in a relatively short time—from materials to enhancements to dispensing, especially with the pressure of EU sustainability regulations drawing nearer.
One exhibitor told Beauty Packaging: “Visitors are searching for which company offers the best capabilities as well as the best tariffs.”
One key trend noted was how suppliers had found alternatives to ABS and Zamac to avoid complications in the recycling stream. Another was how they have progressed toward mono-materials and 100% recyclability. These designs make it easier for the consumer to toss or recycle their empties.
An increase in percentages of recyclable materials and lightweight, mono-material HDPE solutions was apparent. And with K-Beauty perhaps stronger than ever, cushion compacts and interesting applicators (with benefits) are back with a flourish. Eliminating metal pieces and magnets was another trend in packaging.

Read on for more examples of sustainability and innovation at Luxe Pack Monaco 2025—such as the rise in applicators with the added value of massage. Beauty packaging suppliers also emphasized gestures: pushing up, softly touching, gliding, sliding, and providing inclusivity.
At Albéa, Aline Roland, Marketing Director, said they have worked on everything from gesture to recyclability. The supplier is “focusing on lightening the recycling burden.” One way is with their OvalSlim Top—a flip-top cap that’s a “disruptive addition” to Albéa’s Eco-Top family. The design combines the head and cap in an original oval shape. The lightweight, mono-material HDPE solution reduces weight by 75% compared to standard screw caps, making it fully recyclable.
Its oval flip-top design enhances shelf visibility and ease of use compared to traditional screw caps. The ‘Ovalslim’ Top is e-commerce ready. It fits easily into mailboxes, and meets Ista-6 Amazon packaging standards, offering a sustainable and practical solution. Products with new gestures include the Glide Compact, which slides to open. A mono-material, refillable stick pushes up from the bottom, where a new one can be loaded in.
Aptar Beauty presented a wide range of new concepts and portfolio enhancements designed to meet the needs of luxury beauty brands. The supplier’s Nomad Refill is the first 10ml purse spray refillable directly from any standard perfume bottle “in under five seconds.” It combines convenience, sustainability, and premium customization.
Astrea Airless is Aptar’s fusion of glass and airless technology, delivering both elegance and formula protection. It is pairs with recyclable tubular glass bottles available in 15-, 30- and 50ml formats. Lastly, Toujours Lipstick is an innovative refillable lipstick. It features a patented slider mechanism, replacing the traditional twist for a distinctive, intuitive gesture.
Another of the innovations Aptar Beauty unveiled at LPM was the new Total Eye Lift, a partnership with Clarins. Aptar showed an enhanced version of the brand’s best-selling eye cream—now housed in reloadable packaging. This innovative system is protected by two Aptar patents: an intuitive push-and-pull reload mechanism, and a double tamper seal system.
Clarins is the first brand to choose Aptar’s Gaïa platform. The packaging is customized to fit their product requirements and ensure an exclusive user experience.
At Axilone, Lucie Ray-Lalanne, Marketing & Communication Manager, said they are “really focusing on sustainability.” She showed Beauty Packaging their various-weight range of full-aluminum tops, from cap to applicator. She explained that they are market-firsts, enabling unique stem customization (engraving, color, gradient anodizing). Axilone is also working on low-carbon plastic solutions (PET, PP, mono-materials) “without compromising color and materials.” Everlast is a full range of refillable lipsticks in mono-material. Lalanne said all of the supplier’s latest launches are refillable.
Baralan presented a new invisible piston inside an airless bottle. As the piston is invisible, the brand can use a logo on it. The customer can see the true color of the product on the bottom of the piston instead of the piston. Baralan also offered new printing styles.
One standout at Bormioli Luigi was a magnificent fragrance collection created for Véronique Spoturno, founder of the eponymous brand, and great-granddaughter of François Spoturno (known as Coty). She turned to Bormioli Luigi to produce the glass bottles and caps for the 1921 fragrance. This new edition “creates a bridge between heritage and modernity.” The bottle features a screw neck, which allows for refilling and recycling after removing the pump.
The unique 60ml bottle, made of lightweight glass, features defined angles and fine, even walls whose chiseled structure conveys the hallmarks of premium glass through the play of light. Gold, precious metal screen-printing give the bottle a distinguished look.
Bormioli Luigi also showcased its enhanced glass makeup collection. Swing is its all-glass lipstick, and it’s easily refillable, recyclable, and fully customizable. It features a narrower cross-section than the previous version. The lipstick’s walls are thin, and its glass content, significantly reduced, allowing for up to 15% PCR.
Italy-based Capardoni develops cap and glass bottle standards in-house in 3 factories in Italy. The beauty packaging supplier also works on custom projects with brands. Customize its mono-material dropper by coloring the stem, collar, and bulb. Currently, they’re seeing a trend for rounded glass bases for foundation. Quotes only take a day. Delivery is 4-10 weeks, with a 10,000-piece minimum.
The exhibitor Cloud Beauty presented “Sludge,” which has entered the packaging realm as a premium material. It is recycled from over 70% of Taiwan’s reservoir mud, a growing waste due to extreme weather. As a high-density material, Cloud Beauty says, “Sludge eliminates the need for added weight in caps, jars, and cases—and reduces reliance on conventional plastics.”
Cosmogen offered a wide array of droppers, tubes, and other applicators—most with a luxe look and feel. The Needle Dropper is now available with a glass bottle for a premium look. It features an ultra-precise dropper with an aluminum stem, and a complementary wiper. Priscille Allais, President and CEO of Cosmogen, said, “It combines technical sophistication and refinement for tailor-made facial care.”
As a high-end applicator, the Dropper Tube has an aluminum tip, combined with a dropper system, allowing controlled and hygienic dosing. Designed for targeted treatments such as serums or eye contour care, “It offers precise and elegant application.”
Eastman focused on recyclable grade plastics that can be recycled up to 100%. Eastman’s Eastar Renew EN031 is a chemically recycled polyester (PET) that delivers a level of quality equivalent to virgin resin. Jars with crystal EM 812 are recycled and recyclable, with a glass-like appearance. A lipstick and compact are also available.
A new bottle made from Eastar™ Renew EN031, is a collaboration with Doloop. It represents “a major advance in sustainable beverage packaging. It offers brands a scalable, real-world solution for achieving 100% recycled content in their bottles—while maintaining clarity and purity and meeting sustainability goals.”
Eska’s “Gallery” at Luxe Pack Monaco featured many of their creative, sustainable cartons in an array of solids and prints. At LPM, they highlighted Eska Pure Blue. Sophie Greff, Marketing Director, described it as “a blue so pure, in color, context, and conscience, a hue that borrows light and beauty from the sky itself, elegant and beautiful, calm yet powerful, rich and soothing.” The material is 100% recycled, 100% recyclable, and 100% circular. A lovely shopping bag was in demand, and Greff even wore a dress that matched the appealing blue color.
HCP was once again on top of current and forthcoming cosmetic trends. The supplier featured its top plates, pillow tottles, and cushion compacts. With K Beauty so popular, there’s been a resurgence of cushion compacts. HCP’s stock Pillow Tottle, in a soft form, is a future-forward format for the skincare & complexion categories. It is designed for precision, portability, and product protection.
According to Cheryl Bisset, Senior Vice President of Sales at HCP Packaging USA, this soft-format pack offers a modern alternative to glass bottles for foundation. It’s a more user-friendly solution for portable products like hand cream and SPF. HCP’s portfolio offers mini formats for blush or concealer, slim profiles for dewy, glow-boosting finishes, and deep engines for foundation, CC, and SPF.
HCT offered a wide range of mono-materials, “creating packs that are easy to recycle.” Gerta Hertscheg, Industrial Designer, also presented numerous stick packs. Sound entered the mix for one: a satisfying click occurs when the consumer twists up the stick. Pillar sticks offer a large area for deco. A dial stick can be manipulated one-handed to raise the stick. They are also replacing the Zamac lip on tubes with stone, which works as a gua sha.
Lumson, a 50-year-old Italian leader in cosmetic packaging, showcased FREE, its new metal-free pump. The pump “combines outstanding technical performance with environmental responsibility.”
At the core of FREE lies “an innovative, tried, and trusted material from cutting-edge fields such as aerospace and medical.” Five years into research, Lumson has adapted this polymer to ideally serve the world of beauty—durable, lightweight, flexible, and capable of withstanding mechanical, thermal, and chemical stress.
Available in both the atmospheric and airless versions with a 24/410 neck, FREE has already earned the prestigious RecyClass certification—proof of Lumson’s sound commitment to reducing environmental impact. FREE has earned Technology for full compatibility with the PP recycling stream; and Compatibility Letter Class A for both airless and atmospheric versions.
The supplier Metapack is known for its high-end materials and craftsmanship, in sync with luxe technologies.
Their new travel spray bottle was a standout at LPM with its combination of mother-of-pearl and Zamac, done in an exclusive partnership with the Museum of Mother-of-Pearl and Tabletmaking/Living Heritage Company.
The Museum’s artisans worked with Metapack’s engineers to develop the striking travel spray. This unique, limited-edition range stands out for its combination of artisanal excellence and industrial innovation. It is in line with Metapack’s vision, which advocates the preservation of precious resources and expertise.
Rather than viewing packaging as a passive container, Nuon Medical is pioneering smart applicators that become an active part of skincare performance.
Nuon went large at Luxe Pack Monaco, with several stands in different halls, and a wide assortment of high-tech products for skincare, haircare, tonation, and many other beauty- and health-related areas, including major trends such as applicators also used for skin analysis.
For one, Nuon’s Skin-Soothing Cooling Device is an ergonomic accessory that delivers heating or cooling, and combines two functions. One press of the button delivers cold associated with blue light for antibacterial action. A second push reverses the temperature, combining heat with red LEDs to offer anti-aging benefits.
Alain Dijkstra, Founder and CEO of Nuon Medical, told Beauty Packaging, “These contrasting effects are the result of advanced technology housed in a device that fits in the palm of your hand.”
Luxe Pack Monaco was the first time that Quadpack and Texen exhibited together since their merger. Now with a total of 10 factories worldwide, their capabilities are vastly expanded, explained Guillaume Bellissen, Senior Vice President, Sales, at Texen. Quadpack’s stock and standard capabilities are joined with Texen’s bespoke/custom offerings for a wide range of cosmetic packaging—from plastic injection-molded packs to wood alternatives. At LPM, Quadpack offered applicators with an added value of massage, and applicators for tubes. Texen showed their phenomenal new bottle with a copper bottom for LVMH, retailing for $35,000. They also showed a wide range of mono-material packs that can be easily dismantled.
Rissmann says it is committed to the packaging mantra of Reduce, Recycle, Reuse. At Luxe Pack Monaco, they featured the Slide & Click Box, which is totally made of FSC cardboard and paper, and offers a premium tactile experience with its magnet-free sustainable mechanism. It blends both functionality and elegance, with a new gesture—Slide & Click—and a refined click-sound by closing the box, effortlessly.
It was designed in-house through close collaboration between packaging engineers and design experts, meeting exclusivity, security, sustainability, and luxury requirements.
At Scodix, April Lytle, Global Brand Innovation Manager, told Beauty Packaging about their new equipment designed for decorating and embellishing uncoated stock, with beautiful matte effects. You can even add tactility to QR codes. The techniques can also be used on materials including leather.
Korean manufacturer SMCG (Somang Glass) is a certified supplier for leading global cosmetic companies, including several in the U.S. It operates on quality and sustainability standards. 60% PCR is used in every glass product they produce. SMCG offers a variety of cosmetic components such as caps, pumps, droppers, and more. Customers can choose the thickness and shape of flocked applicators. A wide selection of standard mold stock, with over 400 options, is available. According to James Jin, Sales Director, “Finishing techniques and processes cover every decoration requirement in the market.”
Have you ever heard of Grastic? SP Global Packaging displayed a wide array of primary and secondary sustainable cosmetic packaging, including biodegradable Grastic (starch-based “green plastics”). Available as jars, caps, compacts, and other ranges, it’s available in both heat-resistant and non-heat-resistant grades.
Finland-based Sulapac’s portfolio includes materials for fragrance caps and closures, sharpenable cosmetic pencils, and other color makeup such as compacts and jars. Their unique patented barrier solution enables Sulapac packaging to be used in direct contact with water-based bulks. Is it wood, plastic—or Sulapac? The company says that a brand can substitute Sulapac materials for conventional plastic—and it will be unrecognizable to the consumer. New to their collection is a cap with a marble effect and, in conjunction with Schwan Cosmetics, a collection of Sulapac barrel pencils that can be sharpened.
TNT Group, known for its expertise in metal craftsmanship and a pioneer in Zamac innovation, highlighted a significant step with innovative packaging, filing a patent for its groundbreaking technology: anodized injected aluminum with a “responsible” glossy finish.
Toby Cattermole, Co-Founder and Managing Director of TNT Group, explained, “This advancement seamlessly combines aesthetics, tactile appeal, functionality, durability, and recyclability, as it is fully compatible with standard household sorting streams.” He said it creates exciting new opportunities for luxury houses—from beauty to wines and spirits—“seeking to merge creative excellence with environmental responsibility.” By bringing together the benefits of metal injection and anodized finishing, Cattermole says TNT Group continues to push the boundaries of responsible luxury.
This technology offers a lighter alternative to Zamac, “leveraging a widely available metal from the food industry and benefiting from significant volumes that facilitate access to established global collection and recycling streams.”
Virospack, specialists in droppers, always has something new. At Luxe Pack Monaco, one introduction was a dropper with a ribbed cap for a lush, tactile feel and standout effect. It can be produced in any color. The textured finish also improves usability, while reinforcing brand identity. Joanna Milne, Key Account Manager, told Beauty Packaging, “By combining form and function, this cap adds a refined sensory dimension to cosmetic packaging.”
Customizable with premium finishes, and produced entirely in-house, these ribbed caps can be fully personalized to reflect each brand’s unique visual language.
This component is ideal for skincare, makeup, or haircare lines looking to stand out with a distinctive and ergonomic detail. The Ribbed Texture Cap is available in two standard neck sizes, ensuring full compatibility with a wide range of packaging systems.
Verena Fiori Ferreira, Global Marketing & Digital Director at Virospack, told Beauty Packaging, that they’re now also focused on haircare, with droppers for hair, scalp, and body. Virospack is also now offering decorated pipettes “to connect with consumers,” and a push-button syringe.
